the piano player! He is an
excellent improvisor.
He has a beautiful touch and great tone from the
piano, a deep resonant sound ,,he is very EXPRESSIVE like a mofo!!
I can FEEL HIM , and the most important thing is that
I BELIEVE THE EMOTION BEHIND ALL HIS PLAYING
it is very sincere and he touched my heart many times
,,he has gone through many bad and good times and you can hear it in his
improvisations and compositions

Flo Hufschmid
(Drums)
Flo Hufschmid grew up in the mountains and forests around Wilderswil.
As a child, he would climb up to the piano to make music.
He later took up the drums and other instruments, approaching various genres in a self-taught manner.
For him, the drums represent a modular instrument that can be freely assembled from all kinds of sounds.
He approaches his influences in a similar way.
In addition to his constant search for new sounds and possibilities, he also engages with rhythmic models and concepts.
In 2017, Flo completed the talent development program in jazz at the Gymnasium Hofwil and subsequently studied at the Bern University of the Arts until earning his master’s degree in 2021, learning from musicians such as Dejan Terzic, Julian Sartorius, Django Bates, and Andreas Schaerer. In 2019, he received one of the seven Friedl-Wald scholarships awarded for jazz musicians under 26 years of age.
In 2021, he founded the band GYRE, which won first prize at the Lyceum Club Competition that same year.
